Article body
Sweden made sure of their place in the second qualifying round of the UEFA European Women's Under-19 Championship as they defeated Kazakhstan 12-0 in Group 3.
Sweden rout
Playing on home soil in Ulvesborg, Sweden found themselves three goals ahead as early as the 16th minute following efforts by Kosovare Asllani, Anna Lindblom and Emmelie Konradsson. The hosts, who were eliminated in the second qualifying round last year, then increased their lead to 6-0 before the break thanks to goals from Petronella Ekroth, Emma Lundh and a second by Asllani. They refused to let up after the interval either as Lundh found the net three more times while Julia Lyckberg and Sara Fröjdfeldt also added their names to the scoresheet. Following Georgia's withdrawal, the result means both Sweden and Hungary progress to the next stage with one win each, regardless of the outcome of their meeting on Monday.
