Article body
France and Sweden have already sealed progress from Group A to the WU19 EURO semi-finals, but Group B remains wide open with all four teams able to qualify going into Tuesday's final day. We attempt to make sense of it all.
Please note that the permutations are for information only and the official calculations will be made by UEFA after the games finish according to article 16 of the regulations.
Fixtures: Norway (3 points) v England (0), Germany (3) v Spain (6)
• Spain will be through with a win or a draw. They would also progress if they lose by fewer than seven goals.
• Germany will progress with a win but if they draw they need England to beat Norway in the other match. Lose and Germany are out.
• Norway can advance with any result but need the other match to go their way. They are through if they win and Germany fail to but if both teams win then Germany advance with Spain (barring a seven-goal margin for Germany, in which case Norway and Germany progress). Norway are through if they draw and Germany do not win. Norway can even lose 1-0 and advance provided Germany are defeated.
• England will advance with a two-goal win or greater provided Germany lose. Anything else and they are out.
Fixtures: Denmark (0) v Israel (0), Sweden (6) v France (6)
• France and Sweden are already assured of a top-two finish. France only need a draw to top the group on goal difference. Israel are bottom of the group and must beat Denmark to climb to third.
