Russia through as big guns flex muscle

Russia became the first side to book their place alongside hosts Italy at this summer's UEFA European Women's Under-19 Championship as the second qualifying round brought a return to form for Germany. UEFA.com rounds up the action.

Group 1
The Netherlands can suffer a two-goal loss to France on Tuesday and still qualify after second-half goals from Nadia Coolen, Lieke Martens and Shanice van de Sanden earned a 3-0 win against Denmark every bit as impressive as Thursday's record 11-0 triumph against Lithuania. Lithuania suffered another heavy defeat, a promising start long forgotten when substitute Viviane Asseyi rounded off a 7-0 victory for France. The holders must beat the Netherlands by four clear goals to finish top of the group.

Group 2
Russia made heavy work of Serbia in Sochi, despite going into half-time 2-0 up courtesy of Anna Cholovyaga and Daria Makarenko. Jelena Ćubrilo pulled one back after the restart, however, and Alexandr Shagov's side endured a few nervy moments before the final whistle. Belgium's 3-3 draw with Finland two hours later, in which all the goals came in the opening 30 minutes, means Russia now have an unassailable lead.

Group 3
Carolin Simon scored one, set up another for Eunice Beckmann and hit the bar as Germany went top of the section via a 2-0 win against Turkey. Victory against Iceland on Tuesday would secure their finals place, though their opponents are also in the hunt after beating Wales 2-0. Iceland will need Wales to do them a favour against Turkey, however, as Nur Mustafa Gülen's side will advance if they win and Germany do not.

Group 4
England and Denmark will meet for a showdown on Tuesday after each making it two wins from two on Saturday. Mo Marley's England, runners-up to France last season, claimed a second successive 3-0 win against Portugal and will finish top of the section on goal difference if they and Norway draw. Norway beat Croatia 2-0, with sisters Andrine and Ada Hegerberg on target.

Group 5
The Czech Republic, Switzerland and Sweden will all go into their final fixtures with ambitions of winning the section. Nikola Legerská denied Elin Rubensson from the spot as the Czech Republic held Sweden 0-0 to move on to four points, level with Switzerland, who had Carina Gerber to thank for a 1-0 victory against Ukraine. After two draws, Sweden are on two points, with Ukraine to come on Tuesday.

Group 6
A draw against Austria on Tuesday will send Spain through after Amanda Sampedro scored twice to earn her side a 2-1 comeback win, the match-winner's second effort coming from the spot after a foul that earned goalkeeper Nicolle Andrews a red card. Hosts Austria will be no pushovers, however, having sounded a warning with a 5-0 victory against Poland in which Lisa Makas hit a hat-trick.

The six group winners, along with the runner-up with the best record against the first and third-placed sides in their section, will travel to the finals in Italy from 30 May to 11 June.
