• Home of amateur side AS Cervia 1920, the subject of reality show Campioni il Sogno (The Dreams of Champions) between 2004 and 2006 when coached by 1982 FIFA World Cup winner Francesco Graziani.

• Equipe Romagna, a selection of free-agent players, train at the stadium which was venue for the second Italian Superbowl in June 2009, when Giants Bolzano were crowned Italy's American Football champions.

• The stadium was inaugurated in 1939, reportedly at the behest of Benito Mussolini, and due to its proximity to woodland it became known as the Stadium of Pines.

• In 1992, it was renamed in honour of Germano Todoli, a former Cervia player and club president.
