• Home to Imolese Calcio 1919, an amateur side plying their trade in the sixth tier of Italian football with close links to Serie A outfit Bologna FC.
• There has been a football pitch on the site since 1926, but it was really established in 1934 after a major reconstruction.
• It is located on the infield of the Imola race circuit, the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, which hosted the San Marino Formula One grand prix from 1981 to 2006. Ayrton Senna and Roland Ratzenberger died there in 1994.
• Edmondo Fabbri started out at Imolese in 1938/39, the club serving as launchpad for a career that included spells at FC Internazionale Milano, UC Sampdoria and Atalanta BC. He was Italy coach from 1962 to 1966.
