UEFA European Women's Under-19 Championship holders England could be matched with two of their fellow 2008/09 semi-finalists in the second qualifying round draw in Nyon at 9.30CET on 16 December.

Seeds
The draw will decide six groups of four teams, with one side for each group coming from the quartet of seeding pots based on first qualifying round results. England, who were runners-up in their section, are in the third pot along with the side they saw off in the last four – Switzerland – while beaten finalists Sweden are among the second seeding group. France are top ranked along with fellow former winners Italy, Denmark, Spain and Germany (given a bye to this round), plus the Republic of Ireland, aiming to qualify for the first time. Serbia, who went through as the best third-placed team in the first qualifying round, are in the fourth pot. No team can meet sides they faced in the first qualifying round.

Belarus finals
After the six single-venue mini-tournaments are played from 27 March to 1 April 2010, the group winners will join hosts FYR Macedonia in the finals along with the runners-up with the best record against the sides first and third in their pool. The final tournament will take place between 24 May and 5 June.
