Group 1: Germany (hosts), Austria, Czech Republic, Greece

Group 2: Finland, Switzerland, Belgium (hosts), Poland

Group 3: Netherlands (hosts), Iceland, Russia, Bulgaria

Group 4: Spain (holders, hosts), Republic of Ireland, Hungary, Serbia

Group 5: Norway (hosts), Denmark, Ukraine, Northern Ireland

• The seven group winners qualify to join hosts Scotland in the finals from 16 to 28 July.

How the draw worked

Draw procedure
• There were four seeding pots in accordance with the coefficient ranking list, with the seven countries with the highest coefficients in Pot A, the next seven in Pot B, and so on.

Spain (holders), France, Germany, Norway, England, Finland, Netherlands

Pot B: Denmark, Switzerland, Slovenia, Austria, Republic of Ireland, Iceland, Italy

Pot C: Hungary, Slovakia, Sweden, Czech Republic, Russia, Belgium, Ukraine

Pot D: Poland, Turkey, Serbia, Portugal, Greece, Northern Ireland, Bulgaria

• No qualifying round group winners could meet the runners-up from their section. There was no such restriction for the two best third-placed finishers (Greece and Bulgaria).

• Each group comprises one team from each pot, with hosts then appointed to hold the mini-tournaments to be played between 19 April.

• The seven group winners qualify to join hosts Scotland in the finals from 16 to 28 July.
