Pauline Bremer and Kadidiatou Diani shared the honour of UEFA European Women's Under-17 Championship finals top scorer but neither could come close to matching Marija Banušić's season-leading total.
Bremer of Germany and France's Diani both struck in Tuesday's semi-final as their nations set up a decider today. Diani made it 1-0 on 57 minutes but Bremer's equaliser forced penalties and Germany won the shoot-out.
Sweden missed out on the finals, but Banušić's tally of 11 goals was only one away from a single-season record. Even more impessively, she scored all of those in Sweden's three first qualifying round fixtures (a record for a single Women's U17 mini-tournament) as Banušić was injured for the next stage, when her side was pipped to the finals by Denmark.
