Anaïs Ribeyra scored twice in the final 14 minutes as France came from behind to clinch third place in the UEFA European Women's Under-17 Championship.

Late drama
Norway edged ahead in a close game in the 63rd minute through captain Catherine Dekkerhus's clever finish but Ribeyra swiftly headed France lever. She struck again from close range with a minute to go and substitute Tatiana Solanet sealed victory for the 2008 runners-up from distance.

Early chances
The first opportunity fell to Norway on nine minutes when Maria Thorirsdottir headed a corner against the post; the striker turned the rebound back into the box but Camille Desforges saved well from Lisa-Marie Utland's shot. Cindy Thomas came close for France while Utland then headed narrowly over.

End-to-end action
Both sides continued to create chances with France coming close three times between the 19th and 24th minutes through Thomas, Makan Traoré and Maeva Clemaron, whose shot hit the top of the crossbar. Norway responded and in the subsequent ten minutes Desforges was forced into saves from Emilie Haavi, Isabell Gjerde and Andrine Hegerberg.

Norway opener
There was slower tempo after the break but France's Anaïg Butel and Solanet brought saves from Hilde Gunn Olsen before Norway took the lead somewhat against the run of play. France failed to clear a corner and the ball fell for Dekkerhus to curl in confidently.

France fightback
Ribeyra had shot wide just seconds before and a minute after the opener she had another effort cleared off the line by Thorirsdottir. She made it third time lucky after 66 minutes with a fine downward header from Butel's cross. France continued to press and Caroline La Villa and Ribeyra both struck the post in quick succession. Finally Ribeyra applied the slightest of touches to Traore's cross before Solanet's piledriver deceived the otherwise excellent Olsen.
