Germany and Denmark will kick off the first UEFA European Women's Under-17 Championship finals at 15.00CET on 20 May followed by the other last-four meeting between England and France as the details of the inaugural event at the Colovray Stadium, opposite UEFA headquarters in the Swiss town of Nyon, were announced.

European champions at senior and U19 level, Germany were the last of the four teams to book their place from the initial entry of 40 nations by winning second qualifying round Group 3 on home soil. They completed their campaign on Tuesday with a 4-1 comeback win against Sweden thanks to an Alexandra Popp hat-trick in Essen while Poland finished second with a 2-0 victory against Sweden in Bottrop. The winners of the last-four meetings on 20 May will progress to the final three days later televised live on Eurosport, followed by a third-place match. Denmark, England, France and Germany will all also represent UEFA at the first FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in New Zealand from 28 October to 16 November.
Free admission
Admission to all Women's U17 finals matches will be free with tickets picked up from 7 May at the tourist offices of the Nyon Region and the Rolle and Morges Region, UEFA reception (from 9am-12pm and 2pm-6pm), SB Sport Gland (avenue de Mont-Blanc 37), and the Colovray Stadium (matchdays). Each match ticket can then be exchanged for a UEFA EURO 2008™ souvenir and 22 adidas replica EUROPASS balls – the official match ball of UEFA EURO 2008™ – will be randomly distributed to spectators before each match.
