Seven national associations have expressed an interest in hosting the UEFA Women's EURO 2017 final tournament.

The FAs of Austria, France, Israel, the Netherlands, Poland, Scotland and Switzerland have been invited to attend an observer programme at UEFA Women's EURO 2013 in Sweden.

All potential bidders will receive the bid requirements by the end of the year and will then be invited to prepare bid dossiers, which they must submit to UEFA by 10 October 2014. There will be inspection visits the following month, and the hosts will be appointed in December 2014 by the UEFA Executive Committee. Qualifying is scheduled to begin in 2015 with the final tournament in summer 2017.

UEFA Women's EURO 2017 will be contested by 16 teams playing a total of 31 matches following a decision by the UEFA Executive Committee at their meeting in Venice on 8 December 2011. This year's finals, running in Sweden from 10 to 28 July, will consist of 12 nations playing 25 games.
