The 2024/25 UEFA Women's Champions League knockout phase is nearly upon us, and with it comes the launch of the new adidas official match ball.
The ball pays tribute to Lisbon, host city for the final this May, and will make its debut when the quarter-finals kick off on 18 March.
The design features a striking white and blue base with orange and yellow accents in homage to the colour and vibrancy associated with Portugal's capital. The intricate detailing on the star panels celebrates the iconic porcelain tiles that adorn many of the buildings around Lisbon, traditionally known as azulejos.
The ball features a range of adidas technologies, including:
• PRISMA Surface Technology: a unique debossed pattern to improve swerve and precision.
• Textured Outer Coating: designed to enhance grip and control, with a thermally bonded, seamless construction for ultimate durability.
• CTR-CORE Technology: an advanced core engineered for accuracy and consistency, supporting fast-paced play. It includes a zero-waste bladder made of renewable natural rubber and a robust carcass built from double-patched PES fabric, ensuring optimal shape and air retention.
In partnership with Common Goal, adidas will donate 1% of all global net sales from its footballs, including this new release, to support programmes driving social change in under-resourced communities worldwide. This initiative aligns with adidas' mission to foster a more inclusive future through the power of football.
The new official adidas match ball is available to purchase from today via adidas stores, selected retail stores and online at https://www.adidas.com/us/soccer-balls.
