UEFA Women's Champions League quarter-finalists FCF Juvisy Essonne have announced the signings of France defender Laure Lepailleur and Ukraine goalkeeper Iryna Zvarych as they prepare to take on Göteborg FC in March.
The club from the Paris suburbs have been looking for a top-level keeper and have found one in 29-year-old Zvarych, who left Russian side FC Rossiyanka at the end of last season. "Of course taking part in the Champions League played a part in my choice," she said. "Hopefully we can go as far as possible."
Lepailleur, 27, makes the short trip from Paris Saint-Germain FC, a team she joined in 2008 from Olympique Lyonnais having also played for Montpellier Hérault SC. Capped 37 times, she has experienced European semi-finals with both Lyon and Montpellier. In France, Juvisy currently lie third, 11 points behind Lyon and four adrift of PSG.
