German Cup winners and UEFA Women's Champions League hopefuls 1. FFC Frankfurt have signed Mandy Islacker from relegated Bundesliga side BV Cloppenburg.

The 25-year-old striker, who has scored 68 Bundesliga goals, including 12 last season, has penned a contract that will bind her to the club until the summer of 2016. "Mandy Islacker is the signing I wanted to make in attack and I am very happy she decided to join 1. FFC Frankfurt," said the club's English coach Colin Bell. "Mandy has been a consistent performer for her entire career and in the past three seasons scored in double figures."

Following the acquisitions of Kathrin Hendrich and Marith Priessen from Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Islacker is Frankfurt's third summer arrival. The former MSV Duisburg, SG Essen-Schöneback and FC Bayern München player will help to swell the ranks following the departure of star midfielder Fatmire Alushi for Paris Saint-Germain.
