Gérard Prêcheur has been unveiled as the new coach of two-time UEFA Women's Champions League winners Olympique Lyonnais following Patrice Lair's departure.

Prêcheur has signed a three-year contract at Lyon, who have just completed their third successive domestic double, winning their eighth league title in a row. Lair announced earlier this year that he was to end a four-season reign in which he helped them to two European titles and another final before a round-of-16 exit this season.

Having worked at the French Football Federation (FFF) since 2000, involved closely with the women's game, Prêcheur has headed Pôle France for the last four years, working with most of the current France squad as well as men's national team coaches Raymond Domenech, Laurent Blanc and Didier Deschamps.

Meanwhile, Lyon have appointed former player Sonia Bompastor as their youth coach.
