Olympique Lyonnais warmed up in daunting fashion for Thursday's UEFA Women's Champions League final by sweeping aside FF Issy-les-Moulineaux 9-0 in their penultimate French league encounter.

Eugénie Le Sommer racked up five of Lyon's goals despite heavy rain as Patrice Lair's side – already crowned as champions – made it 21 wins out 21 games in the division, scoring 129 goals and conceding just five. The France striker hit four of her efforts in the space of just three minutes after the break to celebrate her 24th birthday in style, and there were goals too for Ami Otaki, Amandine Henry, Louisa Necib and Lotta Schelin.

"It was a nice win and the five goals are a great gift for my birthday," said Le Sommer, whose team have won the French title for the last seven seasons and are unbeaten in the league in 73 outings, stretching back to March 2010. Lyon will now focus on tackling VfL Wolfsburg in Thursday's Stamford Bridge showpiece, when they will aim to clinch an unprecedented third UEFA Women's Champions League crown.

Also on Saturday, a 2-0 victory for Paris Saint-Germain FC at FCF Juvisy ensured that the capital club will finish second and enter the UEFA Women's Champions League next season. Lindsey Horan profited from a Linda Bresonik assist to open the scoring, and the United States striker added a second early in the second half. PSG last graced Europe in 2011/12 and, like Lyon, will enter the competition in the round of 32.
