In Wednesday's fixtures, 2007 winners Arsenal triumphed 1-0 at ASD Torres CF, while a 3-1 victory at Göteborg FC moved Juvisy into the last four. Only 24 hours later, Wolfsburg won 2-0 at FC Rossiyanka to take their place. As for Lyon, a 3-0 second-leg success versus FC Malmö maintained their bid for a third straight title and sent the French side through to the semi-finals for a sixth year running.
Lyon have already got the better of Juvisy in the league this term, prevailing 2-0 last month and 4-0 in Paris to open up a 14-point gap over their fourth-placed rivals. Juvisy last overcame OL 2-0 in March 2010, though they did knock Patrice Lair's team out of the French Cup the following season on penalties.
Arsenal will compete in their sixth semi-final in 11 European campaigns and third in a row, yet the only time the Gunners made it further was in their 2007 triumph. Wolfsburg, by contrast, are making their European debut, but so were fellow German sides 1. FFC Frankfurt, 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam and FCR 2001 Duisburg when they lifted the trophy for the first time.
For the capital club there is the added incentive of a final at Chelsea FC's Stamford Bridge on 23 May. Tickets are on sale now priced at just £10 (€12) for adults and £5 (€6) for children.
