UEFA Women's Champions League quarter-finalists Olympique Lyonnais have announced that striker Élodie Thomis has signed a new contract that will keep her at the club until June 2016.

Thomis joined from Montpellier Hérault SC in July 2007 and was a prominent member of the squad that won back-to-back UEFA Women's Champions League titles in 2010/11 and 2011/12. The forward has made four appearances in this season's competition to help Lyon reach the last eight. The quarter-final draw will be made on 27 November.

The 26-year-old also scored four goals in seven appearances for France as they booked their place at next summer's UEFA Women's EURO in Sweden, where they will face England, Russia and Spain in Group C following the draw in Gothenburg last week.
