Olympique Lyonnais will be without winger Élodie Thomis when they defend a 2-0 UEFA Women's Champions League semi-final lead at Arsenal LFC on Saturday.
The 24-year-old French international sustained a thigh injury in training on Wednesday and after scans the club have announced that Thomis is out "for the next three weeks". That means Thomis could be back should Lyon make it to the final against either FCR 2001 Duisburg or the team that beat them in last year's showpiece, 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam, on 26 May at Craven Cottage, London.
Coach Patrice Lair is also shorn of full-back Sandrine Dusang and fellow defender Corine Franco with knee injuries, but midfielder Sonia Bompastor is back from suspension. Arsenal, meanwhile, opened their domestic season in the new FA WSL with a 1-0 win at Chelsea LFC on Wednesday.
