Holders 1. FFC Frankfurt will kick off the UEFA Women's Cup quarter-final stage on the afternoon of Wednesday 11 October after the dates and times of the fixtures were confirmed.
Frankfurt first
Frankfurt, surprisingly, have never previously travelled to Norway in this competition but that will change when they meet Kolbotn IL on Wednesday week at 16.00CET in Oslo. Two hours later, the team that lost their European title to Frankfurt in last year's final, German champions 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam, meet Danish side Brøndby IF. The next afternoon, Arsenal LFC are in Iceland to play Breidablik, and there is an evening kick-off in the Netherlands when Saestum play two-time winners Umeå IK.
Second legs
The first of the ties to conclude is the one between Potsdam and Brøndby, on Wednesday 18 October at the Karl Liebknecht stadium. A day later the other three semi-final places will be decided; in the afternoon Frankfurt welcome Kolbotn, with the winners to meet Umeå or Saestum, who conclude their encounter that evening. Last to begin is Arsenal's game against Breidablik at Borehamwood FC - Potsdam or Brøndby await the victors. Both semi-finals will be played over two legs in early November, and the decider - also on a home and away basis - is scheduled for late April.
