Classy Brøndby eye Umeå scalp

Gömrükçü Baku 0-3 Brøndby IF (agg: 0-12) Brøndby are looking forward to a semi-final against Umeå IK.

Brøndby IF are looking forward to an all-Scandinavian UEFA Women's Cup semi-final against the holders Umeå IK after defeating Gömrükçü Baku 3-0 in the Azerbaijani capital today to complete a 12-0 aggregate triumph.

First-half goals
The Danish champions were never in danger of elimination following their stunning 9-0 first-leg home victory and three first-half goals in Baku broke the home side's spirit. Stine Kjær Jensen opened the scoring in the 14th minute, Pernille Munch made it 0-2 six minutes later and Jensen again wrapped up the win on the day five minutes before half-time as Brøndby won through to a meeting with Umeå, who along with 1. FFC Frankfurt are the favourites to win the competition.

Danish pride
The two-legged semi-final will be played in March and April, with Brøndby aiming to restore national pride after Umeå thrashed Fortuna Hjørring, then Danish champions, 7-1 on aggregate in last season's final.
