Tireless efforts
The hosts created a couple of chances in the opening minutes and took the lead after 15 minutes when Goitom pounced to convert a rebound. The Swedes continued to dominate with Erkan Zengin and Samuel Holmén working tirelessly but had to wait until 64 minutes to double their advantage.
Telling cross
FC København defender Oscar Wendt produced the cross that carved F.Y.R. Macedonia open, allowing Alexander Farnerud to make it 2-0. Filip Ivanovski beat Sweden goalkeeper Johan Dahlin nine minutes from time to make a game of it, but the visitors' hopes were dashed when Goitom scored his second two minutes later.
