The UEFA European Under-21 Championship final tournament draw will be held at the Slovak Philharmonic Reduta Building in Bratislava at 19:00 CET on Tuesday 3 December.

The draw will split hosts Slovakia and the 15 qualifiers into four groups of four for the finals to be played from 11 to 28 June 2025. The top two in each group go through to the knockout phase.

Draw procedure

The 16 teams are divided into four pots according to their position in the UEFA Under-21 National Team Coefficient Ranking.

Seeding pots

Pot 1: Spain, England (holders), Portugal, Netherlands

Pot 2: Germany, France, Ukraine, Italy

Pot 3: Denmark, Romania, Poland, Czechia

Pot 4: Georgia, Slovenia, Finland, Slovakia (hosts)

  • The draw starts with Pot 1, from where a team is drawn and assigned to the first available group (in alphabetical order).
  • To determine the position of the drawn team within the group, a ball is drawn from the relevant bowl, e.g. Group B, to determine the position within the group (B1, B2, B3 or B4).
  • The next ball is drawn to be assigned to the next available group. Again, a ball is drawn from the relevant bowl containing the group positions, and the same procedure is repeated until every team from Pot 1 has been assigned to a group and been given a position within the group in question.
  • Once Pot 1 has been emptied, the draw continues with Pot 2, then Pot 3 and it concludes with Pot 4.
  • Slovakia are assigned to position A1. Group A is therefore not available for the other teams in the same pot as Slovakia (Pot 4).

Following the final tournament draw, UEFA will issue the updated match schedule including the kick-off time of all matches.
