How does it work?
The four contenders will be drawn into two home-and-away ties, which will be played between 7 and 15 November. The aggregate winners of each tie will reach the final tournament, to be played in Poland in June 2017.
How did the contenders qualify?
As the four runners-up in the qualifying group stage with the best record against the nations first, third, fourth and fifth in their sections.
Who has already qualified for the finals?
The Czech Republic, Denmark, England, FYR Macedonia, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Slovakia and holders Sweden qualified as the nine group winners, with Poland also assured of a place as hosts.
