With the exception of Sweden, all of the teams competing at the finals, which run from 17 to 30 June, have two warm-up games scheduled between 26 and 31 March. The Czechs will take on England and Portugal respectively at Stadion Letná and Stadion Eden, the two Prague venues that will be used for the tournament. Other highlights include Germany – in Group A alongside the hosts, Denmark and Serbia – tackling both five-time U21 winners Italy and the Azzurrini's Group B rivals England, the nation they defeated 4-0 in the 2009 final.
