Estonia remain locked together with Bulgaria in Group 2 after Tsvetelin Chunchukov's goal rescued a point for the visitors as both teams ended with ten men.
With play-off hopes already gone for both, pride was at stake and it was Bulgaria who went ahead after eight minutes through captain Aleksandar Kolev. Madis Vihmann and Hannes Anier's penalty turned the game around for the hosts before Chunchukov made it 2-2 with 11 minutes to go.
A great run down the left and curling shot put Pavel Panov's side ahead early in an entertaining first period which saw home keeper Marko Meerits and opposite number Anatoli Gospodinov make important saves. The equaliser did not arrive until the 49th minute when Vihmann converted a corner and Estonia were ahead shortly after when Anier converted from the spot after Plamen Galabov was dismissed for bringing the midfielder down in the area.
Against the odds the ten men achieved parity on 79 minutes as Chunchukov finished following a slaloming run from the right flank. There was late drama as Radoslav Tsonev struck the bar for Bulgaria and Brent Lepistu was sent off for the hosts, but the game ended all square.
