Latvia halted a run of two successive defeats in UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying Group 5 with their second victory against Liechtenstein.
Beaten 5-1 at home by Ukraine last month, Latvia responded positively in Eschen, triumphing thanks to second-half goals from Roberts Savaļnieks and Artūrs Karašausks, who set up the opener. Latvia can now look forward with renewed belief to their biggest test of the campaign so far, a trip on Tuesday to section pacesetters Croatia.
