Azerbaijan fought back from a goal behind to beat Norway and register their first three points of UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying Group 8.
The hosts were in control when Etzaz Hussain atoned for Mushaga Bakenga's first-half penalty failure by breaking the deadlock. However, goals from Tugrul Erat and Agabala Ramazanov swung the pendulum back in favour of the away team before Erat completed the comeback on the stroke of full time.
Norway started with optimism and intent but were reeling when visiting goalkeeper Andriy Popovich kept out Bakenga's 28th-minute spot kick. Their spirits were lifted shortly after the interval, though, Hussain combining neatly with Jonas Svensson and finishing with aplomb.
The lead was fleeting, however, as Erat tucked in from close range. The 21-year-old playmaker then turned provider for Ramazanov to make it two and capped a memorable evening by adding the final flourish to lift Azerbaijan off the foot of the section.
