With just under four months to go until the 2013 UEFA European Under-21 Championship finals, hosts Israel were held to a goalless draw by Serbia at Netanya Municipal Stadium.
The visitors enjoyed the lion's share of possession during a hard-fought first half, while Israel kept their opponents at bay with a meticulous defensive showing. Guy Luzon's charges emerged rejuvenated after the break but failed to capitalise on a host of early chances with visiting goalkeeper Nikola Perić expertly denying Maccabi Tel-Aviv FC forward Munas Dabbur and midfielder Israel Zaguri from close range.
Israel continue preparations for this summer's tournament with home games against Germany and the Netherlands on 21 and 24 March, respectively.
