Sweden moved two points clear at the top of Group 2 after a commanding 3-0 home victory over Finland in UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying.
Two points shy of pacesetters Slovenia with a game in hand, Hakan Ericson's side knew victory would lift them to the summit. Buoyed by his two goals against Malta, Mikael Ishak retained his scoring touch to fire Sweden into a 21st-minute lead.
The hosts doubled their advantage four minutes later through Mervan Çelik and refused to loosen their grip on proceedings when Ishak made it three on 73 minutes. Next up for Sweden is a vital away trip to Slovenia on 6 September, before they conclude their qualifying campaign against Ukraine four days later.
