Austria overcame a tenacious Luxembourg side 4-1 to keep alive their hopes of qualifying for the 2013 UEFA European Under-21 Championship.
Raphael Holzhauser's 16th-minute penalty following an Alessandro Alunni foul set the hosts on their way in Kapfenberg, but Luxembourg, point-less in Group 10, resisted further damage until midway through the second period. Substitute Tobias Kainz (68) and captain Christopher Drazan (87) eased any nerves, and although David Turpel pulled one back, Deni Alar restored the three-goal cushion to leave Austria with all to play for going into their final two games.
