UEFA today announced the opening of the application period for media representatives seeking accreditation for this summer's UEFA European Under-21 Championship final tournament in Denmark.
The finals of the 2009-11 UEFA European U21 Championship will be played between Saturday 11 June and Saturday 25 June at four Danish venues: Aalborg, Aarhus, Herning and Viborg. Hosts Denmark, together with Switzerland, Belarus and Iceland, have been drawn in Group A, staged in Aalborg and Aarhus. Meanwhile, England, Ukraine, Spain and Czech Republic will play their Group B matches in Herning and Viborg.
Media representatives wishing to attend the tournament can apply directly to UEFA as follows:
• Non-broadcast media who are already registered with UEFA via the FAME portal should apply using http://media.fame.uefa.com.
• Non-rights holding radio and non-rights holding television applicants must use the FAME broadcaster portal: http://broadcasters.fame.uefa.com.
• Rights holding broadcasters should contact bookings@uefa.ch for any broadcast unilateral service queries or requirements.
The deadline for applications is Friday 27 May. In cases of cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances, please advise UEFA's media accreditation services immediately, by emailing fame_accreditations@uefa.ch.
Media representatives not yet registered on UEFA's FAME database will not be able to apply for accreditation until they have completed the registration procedure – http://www.uefa.com/MIUFAMEregistration – and their registration has been accepted by UEFA.
