Netherlands 0-1 Czech Republic
Tomáš Mičola scored a late winner as the Czech Republic extended their unbeaten run to 15 games with a narrow victory against the Netherlands in Waalwijk.
The Stade Brestois 29 striker beat Tim Krul from close range with ten minutes remaining to ensure his team did not feel the absence of first-choice forwards Tomáš Pekhart, Václav Kadlec and Jan Vošahlík, all missing for reasons of either injury or illness.
Led by former Under-21 captain Marek Suchý, back after six months in the senior squad, Jakub Dovalil's side were somewhat fortunate that the Jong Oranje failed to convert any of their chances before Mičola's intervention. The Czech Republic – who face Spain, England and Ukraine in Group B at this summer's finals in Denmark – have won their last five matches and are unbeaten since a 2-0 defeat by England in November 2008.
