Five-times UEFA European Under-21 Championship winners Italy will meet Belarus over two legs for a place in the 2011 finals in Denmark after the play-off draw was made in Herning.
The winners of the seven ties played on 8 and 12 October join hosts Denmark at the final tournament in Aalborg, Aarhus, Viborg and Herning from 11 to 25 June 2011. While Italy face Belarus, the Netherlands meet Ukraine, who they beat in the 2006 final.
Last year's runners-up England take on Romania, while of the other former champions involved, the Czech Republic encounter two-time beaten finalists Greece and Spain face Croatia. The 2009 hosts Sweden were drawn against Switzerland while Iceland, aiming to qualify for the first time, play Scotland.
