The Netherlands have one foot in October's play-off for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship finals after beating Poland 3-2 to take a six-point lead at the top of Group 4.
Cor Pot's side fell behind to Polish captain Mateusz Cetnarski's low shot from the edge of the penalty area midway through the first half, and were fortunate not to be two down on the stroke of half-time when Kamil Grosicki's effort hit the crossbar. It was one-way traffic for much of the second half, however, Diego Biseswar drawing the hosts level just before the hour.
Jeffrey Bruma, who had come close to registering himself in the opening period, then fed Biseswar who gave the Netherlands a 71st-minute lead. Siem de Jong headed home Daley Blind's cross to secure victory for the Jong Orange although Jacek Kiełb's strike eight minutes from time made for a nervy close.
