Bosnia-Herzegovina moved off the bottom of UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying Group 3 with a 1-0 away win against nine-man Luxembourg, leaving their hosts propping up the section.
Following an evenly contested first half where both teams' best moments came from set pieces, the complexion of the game changed in the 52nd minute when Kevin Malget was dismissed after picking up a second yellow card. However, it still took a penalty to settle matters in Hesperange as Tom Siebenaler brought down Ivan Sesar in the 72nd minute and substitute Josip Ćorić converted from the spot.
The visitors did not push on for a second but secured the win to move on to seven points in the pool and avenge their home loss by the same opponents back in September. Luxembourg finished the match with nine men after Siebenaler was sent off in added time.
