Recent losses
Eliminated in the group stage of this summer's UEFA European Under-21 Championship, Serbia suffered a shock loss in their opening game of the 2011 qualifying competition when going down 2-1 at home to Slovakia on Friday, when Norway were beaten 3-1 at home by Croatia.
Spilled free-kick
AFC Ajax midfield player Miralem Sulejmani had the first chance of note, fizzing a free-kick against the bar with 28 minutes played. Having survived that scare, the Norwegians upped their game and had the most of the possession without creating clear chances. Norway's Tarik Elyounoussi was twice denied at the last while Miloš Bosančić fired Serbia's only opening of note before the goal wildly over from close range. Milanović scored after home goalkeeper Andre Hansen failed to collect a free-kick.
