Austria are second in 2011 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying Group 10 after flying out of the blocks to coast to a 3-1 win at home to an Albania team which finished the match with ten men.
Perfect start
Atdhe Nuhiu gave Austria the lead after just three minutes when he shot low into the far corner of Shpetim Mocka's net. Nuhiu turned provider in the fifth minute when he teed up striker partner Andreas Weimann who held his nerve to finish coolly. David Alaba was the creator after 13 minutes, crossing for Nuhiu to head in and put the result beyond doubt.
Malota dismissal
Odise Roshi did pull one back for Albania with a half-volley after 41 minutes but defeat was already assured and the visitors' misery was compounded when Renato Malota was sent off four minutes from time. The loss leaves Albania fourth in their section with three points from four games, while Austria have six points from three fixtures.
