Sweden overcame Bulgaria on Wednesday night to maintain a perfect record in their bid to qualify for the 2011 UEFA European Under-21 Championship.
Olsson opener
After opening their campaign with an away win in Montenegro, Sweden made the most of home advantage in Trelleborg, with Blackburn Rovers FC full-back Martin Olsson opening the scoring in the 31st minute after one of many surging runs down the left wing. A misunderstanding between Bulgaria's goalkeeper Mario Kirev and his central defenders left Olsson with an open goal from which he slotted home from a tight angle.
Bajrami winner
The visitors replied only three minutes later, through Viktor Genev following a corner, but nine minutes after the restart Sweden had their winner, Emir Bajrami tapping in the rebound after Kirev had come out to save from Erton Fejzullahu. To add to the away side's woes, Kirev was injured in his collision with Fejzullahu and could not complete the match, while late in the game Alexandar Tonev saw red for his challenge on Guillermo Molins.
