Romania defeated Moldova 3-0 to maintain their perfect start in Group 1 in qualifying for 2011 UEFA European Under-21 Championship.
Romania dominate
Gabriel Torje scored twice and Iulian Ochiroşii once as Emil Sadoi's side won for the fourth match in succession, again without conceding a goal. Romania captain Torje opened the scoring in the 12th minute at the Ion Oblemenco Stadium in Craiova with a shot from the edge of the area and the home side doubled their advantage three minutes later when Ochiroşii fired in from close range.
Torje strikes
Romania dominated the match with only Artur Ionita sporadically threatening for the visiting side. Each time the Moldova No7 had a sight of goal, however, Romanian goalkeeper Silviu Lung was equal to his efforts. Romania made it 3-0 three minutes into the second half, when Torje struck again, this time with a brilliant shot from 16 metres. Romania top the section on 12 points from Russia on nine.
