Hungary made it two wins out of two against Luxembourg in 2011 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying with a 1-0 win in Dudelange following up Saturday's 3-0 home triumph.
Tighter contest
Luxembourg put in a determined performance from the outset but Luc Holtz's side failed to create many opportunities. With midfielder Gilles Bettmer back in the fold, though, Luxembourg were far more solid than in their first meeting with Hungary and restricted them to fewer chances. However, the visitors did strike in the 26th minute, when Attila Filkor headed in what proved to be the winner. Ten minutes later, Luxembourg goalkeeper Lex Menster denied Ádám Présinger from the penalty spot to keep his side in the game. Although the hosts were a match for their opponents throughout the second half, Hungary held on for a narrow, but deserved, Group 3 win.
