Rose blooms
Rose is promoted to the U21s after helping England qualify for the 2009 UEFA European Under-19 Championship this week. The 18-year-old Tottenham Hotspur FC attacking midfielder spent the latter part of the season on loan at second-tier Watford FC where he made seven league appearances. He is yet to make his first-team debut for Tottenham.
Stearman in
The 21-year-old Stearman, who can play at right-back or in central defence, was a regular in the Wolverhampton Wanderers FC side that gained promotion to the Premier League this season. Stearman made his debut in a friendly victory against the Czech Republic last November and has featured once since. Rose is yet to play for the U21s. Stuart Pearce's squad flew to Spain on Monday to begin their training camp ahead of the tournament. They will return to England for a friendly against Azerbaijan in Milton Keynes next Monday before kicking off their Group B campaign in Sweden against Finland on 15 June.
