Tomislav Busić scored a late winning goal as Croatia defeated Azerbaijan 1-0 to complete a fine five days in UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying Group 1.
Away double
Drazen Ladić's team triumphed 4-3 in Greece on Saturday to boost their hopes of winning the section, and were delighted to complete an away double in Baku thanks to the 21-year-old HNK Hajduk Split forward who scored the only goal in the 85th minute. Croatia now have 18 points from eight qualifiers, and will complete their programme next September with home games against Albania and Italy. Azerbaijan, who were missing their playmaker and most influential player Elvin Mammadov, prop up the group with one point from seven games.
