Russia receive Georgia shock

Georgia 2-0 RussiaThe visitors were stunned in Tbilisi as Georgia claimed a stunning triumph to end their 100 per cent record in Group 4.

Russia lost their 100 per cent record in 2009 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying after a shock 2-0 defeat in Georgia.

Shock result
Russia had not previously conceded in Group 4 but strikes from Revaz Barabadze, just before half-time, and Alexander Kobakhidze, ten minutes from the end, condemned the visitors to a stunning loss. It meant Boris Stukalov's charges missed the chance to pull clear of Spain at the top of the table while Georgia, who began the day bottom of the section following a 4-1 defeat by Kazakhstan last month, move level with third-placed Poland on six points.
