Article body
Malta recovered an early deficit to claim their first points in UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying as goals from Ryan Fenech and Matthew Bartolo earned a 2-1 victory against Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Early setback
Having been beaten 4-0 in the reverse Group 10 fixture two months ago, the home team looked set for a repeat performance when Eldin Adilović gave the visitors a flying start with a goal on eight minutes, pouncing after Luke Woods could only parry Petar Jelić's free-kick into his path. Mark Miller's team recovered, however, and levelled through Fenech seven minutes later. Bartolo completed the turnaround eight minutes after the restart, capitalising on a defensive blunder to lift Malta alongside Bosnia-Herzegovina in the standings on three points.
