Northern Ireland's indifferent home form continued as they were beaten 3-1 at Mourneview Park by an Israel team on the rise in Group 9.
Buzaglo opener
The home side went into the game with six points from three games, with all garnered on their travels after they lost 3-0 at home to Germany last month. There was more disappointment tonight as Maor Bar Buzaglo put the visitors ahead early on with a speculative cross-shot which caught Jonathan Tuffey off guard, and the goalkeeper was beaten again just after half-time when Etey Schechter struck. Chris Turner reduced the deficit but Hen Azriel quickly restored it as Israel continued their recovery from September's surprise defeat by Moldova by rising to second in the section.
