Article body
Moldova moved back into the mix in UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying Group 9 with a 2-0 victory against bottom side Luxembourg, but they left it late in Grevenmacher.
Frantuz breakthrough
Having had the better of the possession throughout, the visitors finally made it count eight minutes from time when Maxim Frantuz broke the deadlock with his second of the campaign and four minutes later Petru Stinga made the points safe. The goals were enough to send Moldova level with Northern Ireland atop the section, albeit having played a game more than Tuesday's opponents Germany, who lie third with four points. Luxembourg remain rooted to the foot of the table ahead of their next game away to Northern Ireland.
