Slobodan Krčmarević insists the "door is not closed" to new talent despite featuring no untried players in his squad for the games against San Marino and Latvia.
'Crucial period'
"I have named the team but the door is not closed to new players who deserve calls after playing well," said the coach. "This is a crucial period in qualification and I shall ask the maximum from the players." Captain Milan Smiljanić and left-winger Zoran Tošić miss out as they will join up with the senior side while defender Slobodan Rajković is included despite still recuperating from an injury. Serbia face San Marino in Belgrade on 13 October and take on Latvia in Riga four days later. They lie third in UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying Group 8 after three games.
