Slovakia held at home again

Slovakia 1-1 Austria Slovakia were held to a draw for the second time in qualifying by unbeaten Austria in Senec.

Slovakia were held to a draw for the second time in qualifying for the 2009 UEFA European Under-21 Championship by unbeaten Austria in Senec.

Late equaliser
Austria looked to be heading for their second straight win in Group 7 when Andreas Dober gave them the lead after 63 minutes but the home side, who were disappointed to draw with Iceland in their first group game, earned a point six minutes before the final whistle through a Peter Maslo effort. The MFK Ružomberok midfielder, who was only on the pitch for six minutes, scored after a mistake by the Austria defence. Austrian coach Manfred Zsak said: "We played better and we should have added a second goal." Goalscorer Maslo stated: "If we had played against Iceland as we had in this match, we would have four points, not only two."
