Israel made a successful start to their UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying campaign with a convincing 3-0 victory against Luxembourg.
Six-minute blitz
The home side took the lead after 19 minutes when Bnei Sakhnin FC's Maor Buzaglo held his nerve to drill in from the penalty spot. Six minutes later they doubled their lead with Etey Schachter finding the net with a fine 20-metre shot. The hosts eventually put the game beyond Luxembourg's reach seven minutes from time with another long-range effort, this time from substitute Dovev Gabay. Israel travel to Moldova in four days time for their next outing, while Luxembourg host Northern Ireland a day later.
